30-Day Challenge: Day Fourteen

30-Day Challenge: Day Fourteen

Well, today. Today was a fail with regards to my specific challenge activities. To be honest, I just space-cased them and then ran out of time due to other priorities.

I don’t know if you run into this issue, but if I don’t get enough sleep on a specific day (like not being able to get to sleep until after 4am, but still waking up by 10:30am), I’m tired, but I can push through the day. But, the NEXT day? That day feels like cold molasses. That day was today.

I got up at around 9am because I couldn’t fall asleep last night and got a text message requesting that I hop onto supporting our major migration this morning. I was happy to oblige because my boss had been covering it for the entirety of Saturday. That took from 10am – 2pm.

On top of that I had planned on installing a garage door opener yesterday, but with my schedule being so jacked up yesterday, there was no way I was going to do that. Today had to be the day. I ate a late lunch after 2pm and then started on the garage door. And that, well, that was a much larger endeavor than I had planned.

In the middle of all of this was dinner with the family. After that, well, I still had to finish the door while I had light. On I went… and on the day went and at 9pm, I finally finished the door. Oy.

Day gone – no stretch, no walk, no HIIT. Totally off track.

So, what now? I take it as a lesson learned and move on. No guilt, no dwelling on it – just pressing forward. Onward to Day 15!!
