30-Day Challenge: Day Seven

30-Day Challenge: Day Seven

ONE WEEK DOWN! Time for a little victory dance. Today was the start of Daylight Savings Time and it just so happened to coincide with the start of SXSW. This had the side effect that we would not be having church services this morning. So, that left us plenty of time so I could get all of my exercises in, right?

The day began well – I woke up at 7am (what would normally be 6am) and did my quiet time and my stretches. I then proceeded to do absolutely nothing. For hours. And then it was 2:30pm and we had to be somewhere when I realized I hadn’t even done my walk yet. I didn’t get home until 4:30pm, so I had to get my walk in AND I still had a HIIT to do… oy. All done though!! Really wore me out to go right from my walk to a HIIT. Lesson learned – don’t put this stuff off.

  • Less than 7 hours of sleep due to the time change (and me just waking up without being able to go back to sleep – circadian rhythm must actually be adjusting, so this is a good thing)
  • Quiet Time (John and Psalms again)
  • 30 minute walk (late in the afternoon before dinner)
  • HIIT
    • Push-ups
    • Plank
    • High Knees
    • Reverse Lunge
    • Squats

First week is DONE! Only three more and some change. Week TWO starts tomorrow!
